Joan Castle was a Tennessee delegate at the 1992 founding convention of the U.S. Taxpayers Party (now the U.S. Constitution Party) in New Orleans. She has served on the National Committee for 18 years. Joan has ensured Tennessee ballot access for all presidential elections since 1992, and was elected state chairman in Tennessee in 2000. She was the national co-campaign manager for the 2008 presidential campaign and the 2009 recipient of the Joan Johnson Servant Leadership Award presented by the CP National Committee.
In addition to her work with the Constitution Party, Joan was a customer support manager and analyst at Federal Express for 15 years and was instrumental in activities leading up to the winning of the Malcolm Baldridge Service Excellence Award. She currently manages her husband's law firm, Darrell Castle and Associates in Memphis, and Castle Law Office of Kansas City. Joan is the co-founder and current Chairman of the Board of Mia's Children Foundation, Inc. www.miaschildren.com which ministers to homeless gypsy children in Bucharest, Romania (founded in 1998). She is also Chairman of the Board of Hope for Collierville www.hopeforcollierville.com. It envisions hope rekindled in the poor and marginalized neighborhoods of Collierville, TN with individuals growing in responsibility for their own lives, engaged in using their available resources and God-given talents for the good of their families and their community.
Joan lives in Germantown, TN. She has been married to Darrell for 35 years, attends St. Patrick Presbyterian Church in Collierville (missions chairman). She and Darrell have one daughter who is married and lives in Virginia.
